This old Chevy truck made it the end of field and that was all she wrote. It was either abandoned there or stuck in the snow. No one knows now. It is as much rust as it is green paint. There is a farm in the background that likely once owned the truck but out in the wilds of Idaho, it is unlikely that you will find the real reason for the vehicles demise. It could have broken down and been left or maybe just ran out of gas. Who knows? In any event, it makes great yard art until someone comes along to make it new again.
Paul Hill lives and paints in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Born and raised in Idaho, I enjoy painting subjects that are local, regional and familiar. Coeur d'Alene is a destination resort on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene. The lake, old buildings, cars, landscapes, wildlife and local scenes are the subject of many of my "Americana like" paintings. I feel like we need to capture moments in time of places, buildings, cars, etc., before they are all gone. It is my intent to do as good a job as I can to make a scene artistically correct and visually pleasing while still capturing the essence of the subject.
