This is a north Idaho barn in obvious disarray. Every year it is a little worse. I painted it before in the fall and that scene can be found on my website also. The pine trees to the right of the barn are actually holding it up. I was going to title this scene "Lean on Me" but a client of mine bought the painting before the paint was even dry and I let her name it. This is a typical scene in rural America that is vanishing up my way to make room for more people moving here all the time. At least the art work will go on.

Paul Hill lives and paints in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Born and raised in Idaho, I enjoy painting subjects that are local, regional and familiar. Coeur d'Alene is a destination resort on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene. The lake, old buildings, cars, landscapes, wildlife and local scenes are the subject of many of my "Americana like" paintings. I feel like we need to capture moments in time of places, buildings, cars, etc., before they are all gone. It is my intent to do as good a job as I can to make a scene artistically correct and visually pleasing while still capturing the essence of the subject.
