This is an old barn near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I know it only as the Mooney Barn. These are the folks whose family built the barn many decades ago. This scene depicts a fox passing through the property in the morning and is stopped in his tracks when he hears something in or near the barn. Perhaps breakfast? I suspect this little fellow will be ambling up to the building for a look see pretty quick and it doesn't look like anyone is around to bother him.

Coeur d'Alene is a destination resort on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene. The lake, old buildings, cars, landscapes, wildlife and local scenes are the subject of many of my "Americana like" paintings.
